This month has been chill for Helen. Now that she's sitting like a pro, she really just wants to sit there and play with her toys. And drool, And squeal. We got her in the high chair finally and she is actually enjoying meal time...as long as she can play with a toy AND eat at the same time. Uncle Harry came out this month and Helen just loved making him laugh. She and Sam often sit together and play and because she's not mobile yet, this works out very nicely for mom. Spring showed up last week and you can tell how happy she was to see the sun, at last. Her hair is spectacular. It's less princess Mohawk and more Rod Stewart every day. Most of the pictures are taken after wearing a winter hat or a summer hat...but more to come with the full do. And btw, I clearly need to learn how to take the month by month shots...because she just wants to eat the paper.

Tahoe Ski Trip 2011

Fresh snow, sun, warm temps, hot tub, massage table, good food, good company...a fabulous vacation was had by all. We met up with Dan's parents and Aunt Jonnie and had a great winter get-a-way. Sam had many "firsts." He skiied for the first time (two days of ski school and he was going up the lifts with us!), and went ice skating!

The snow was perfect for building snowmen and having snowball fights and we even found time to do some sledding..not to mention swimming in the heated pool. He came back home beaming, telling everyone he saw that he was the winner, could ski faster than farfar, and had s'mores. Dan and I got to ski a bunch together which was great and Helen enjoyed all of the loving attention. Note: there are a few videos at the end of the album.
